Meeting Synopsis:

This international meeting addresses a global interest in the role that peptide and protein self-assembly plays in biomaterials development, biological processes and medicine. This may be seem a broad topic, however, self assembly plays an important role in a range of scientific fields, from designing new materials to defining the key molecular events that enable viral infection as well as being implicated in some diseases. This meeting brings together international experts in Materials Science, Structural Biology, Amyloid Disease, Protein Design and Physical Chemistry, all who study self-assembly from their own distinct perspectives.

Sessions:

  • Self -Assembly for Biological Materials
  • Structural Biology of Membrane Proteins
  • Distrupting Protein-Protein Interactions
  • Amyloid and Disease
  • Physical Interrogation of Proteinaceous Assemblies
  • Novel Proteins from Design and Computation
